How We Work: Fees, Deposits and Cancellations

No surprises is the policy. Every fee in writing before treatment, a published price list, free consultations with a small refundable deposit, and 48 hours' notice if you need to move an appointment.

Prices checked October 2026. If anything here isn't clear, call 0141 248 1183 and ask.

Fees and Written Plans

What you'll pay, agreed before anything is done.

Our full price list is published online, and the fees on it are the fees you pay
Before any course of treatment you get a written plan with the recommended treatment, the alternatives and the fee for each part
The fee in your plan doesn't change once you've agreed it. If something unexpected is found during treatment, we stop and talk to you first
Fees marked "from" are for a straightforward case; your written plan replaces the "from" with your exact figure
Dental plan members save 10% on most private treatment, excluding extensive cosmetic treatment, implants and orthodontics
Treatment of £1,500 or more can be spread monthly through Chrysalis Finance, subject to status

Free Consultations and Deposits

Consultations for implants, Invisalign, bonding, veneers and smile makeovers are free. The deposit protects the appointment, not our income.

A £40 deposit when you book a free consultation, refunded within 7 days of attending
Facial aesthetics consultations are free with a £50 deposit, refunded in the same way
The deposit is only kept if you don't attend; if you have to cancel at short notice it's still refunded, but please tell us so the time can go to someone else
A written plan with a fixed fee is yours to take away; there's no obligation to go ahead and no pressure to decide on the day
Second opinions, including on treatment planned or started elsewhere, are treated as any other consultation

Cancellations and Missed Appointments

Appointment time that isn't used can't be given to someone else at short notice, so we ask for notice.

Please give at least 48 hours' notice to cancel or move an appointment, by phone, WhatsApp or the patient portal
If you don't attend a free consultation, the deposit is kept; a late cancellation is still refunded
If you're running late, call: we'll see you if the time allows, or rebook you if it doesn't
If we have to move an appointment, we'll give you as much notice as we can and the first alternative that suits you
We send reminders by text; check the number we hold for you is current

Emergencies and Out of Hours

In pain, you're seen the same day where we can, registered with us or not.

An emergency appointment is £70, and free for dental plan members
Same-day slots are kept Monday to Friday for people in pain; call 0141 248 1183 first thing or book online
Outside our hours, call the practice number for the emergency advice line, or NHS 24 on 111
Go to A&E if swelling is affecting your breathing, swallowing or eye, if bleeding won't stop, or after a serious injury to the face

NHS Patients

Children are seen on the NHS with no waiting list. NHS places for adults are limited.

NHS dental examinations are free for everyone in Scotland; treatment is free for under-26s, during pregnancy and for a year after a birth, and for some people on benefits
Other adults pay 80% of the NHS fee, up to a maximum of £384 for a course of treatment
NHS and private treatment can be mixed: an NHS patient can choose a private option, such as a white filling on a back tooth, and we'll say what each costs
Adults who'd like an NHS place can join the waiting list by requesting a call back; you can be seen privately while you wait

Spreading the Cost

Monthly payments, subject to status, through Chrysalis Finance.

Treatment from £1,500 to £25,000 can be spread interest free over 6 or 12 months, or over 12 to 60 months at 14.9% APR representative
A deposit is optional, and you apply online once your written plan is agreed
Representative example: Total amount of credit £5,000. Total charge for credit £1,975.60. Total amount repayable £6,975.60, by 60 monthly payments of £116.26. Representative 14.9% APR. Based on treatment costing £5,000 with no deposit, repaid over 60 months. Acceptance is subject to status. Terms and conditions apply.
Dental plans A and B spread dental examinations and hygiene visits into a monthly fee and include emergency appointments and worldwide dental emergency cover
