Invisalign Usually Suits You If
Fixed Braces May Suit You Better If
Where the jaws themselves are out of line, rather than just the teeth, as with a severe overbite or underbite, we'll say so at the consultation: that may need an orthodontist, sometimes alongside jaw surgery.
Tooth-Coloured Fixed Braces
Fixed braces work through small brackets fixed to the front surface of each tooth, joined by a wire that Dr Hameed adjusts at your visits to guide the teeth into line. Ours are tooth-coloured rather than metal, so they're far less noticeable, and they stay on until your treatment is finished.
They do take some looking after: toffee, hard sweets and anything you'd crunch can knock a bracket loose, and cleaning around the brackets takes a little longer each day. Hygiene visits with Airflow polishing help keep the gum around them healthy. Treatment length varies with the movement your teeth need, and Dr Hameed gives you an estimate at your consultation.

We're at 23C St Vincent Crescent in Finnieston, about four minutes' walk from Exhibition Centre station and two stops by train from Glasgow Central, with pay-and-display parking outside.
